Egypt has a beautifully warm climate, and paired with the coastline along the Red Sea, this makes it an ideal location for a relaxing beach getaway. With a large area of the country covered by the Sahara Desert, a camping trip out into the desert will bring magic to your trip. The largest river in the world runs through Egypt and offers a unique way to view parts of the country, as a river cruise is a popular option with tourists.
Peru makes our list at number nine. The top reason to visit Peru is for its Inca Trail, with the crown and the Jewel being the impressive Machu Picchu. These ancient Inca ruins make the hike up to them truly worth it. If you’re a keen surfer, Peru’s waters are something you need to check out, with the best spots being Costa Verde and Punta Rocas, which are both south of Lima, the capital.

Number seven is Croatia. Croatia and its borders are a relatively new country, with the country declaring its independence in 1991. One of the top things to do is to take a day trip from Split on a boat to the Blue Cave on by Sibo Island. Another one of the most beautiful things to do in Croatia is visit Plitvice National Park. The park contains 16 beautiful turquoise lakes over 90 waterfalls and plenty of hiking trails with superb views throughout. Dubrovnik is a must-see city when in Croatia. Iceland is sixth on our list. During the winter months, it’s worth staying up all night to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, which are often visible in the night sky. The Northern Lights are regularly described as lights dancing into the night sky, and seeing this makes Iceland a bucket list destination.

Iceland also boasts of having geothermal baths, with the most popular being the Blue Lagoon. Visitors can bathe in the waters here, which are considered to have regenerative qualities. There is a full luxury spa on-site for those looking to be truly pampered. Iceland’s waters are renowned for being the home to many species of whales, making it one of the most popular places within Europe to visit to spot these amazing animals in their natural habitat. A trip out into the ocean often results in whales being spotted due to their growing numbers in the area.

The Samurai warrior is one of the most historic and iconic warriors throughout history, and there is a museum dedicated to the samurai. It is filled with weapons, armor, and even a genuine demonstration of battle moves by a trained Samurai.
At number four, we have Brazil. If it was just for beaches, Brazil would probably be number one on our list. Some of the world’s best beaches are along their coastline, with the crown jewel being Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro. With four kilometers of perfect sandy beaches, it’s easy to see the attraction.
Also in Rio is the impressive Christ the Redeemer statue, which can be seen from many areas of the city. Iguazu Falls is highly recommended on a trip to Brazil. Travel down to the south of the country to be surrounded by jungle to see the world’s biggest waterfall system. In 1984, it was made a national heritage site, and in 2011, Iguazu Falls was actually added to the new list of seven natural wonders of the world.
If you like to dance and party, Rio Carnival is definitely the place to be. Brazilians really know how to enjoy themselves, and this is all showcased in the world’s biggest carnival in Rio, which takes place during February every year. Come dance and party the night away like never before at this very colorful carnival.
Italy is at number three. Rome is home to some of the most well-known travel spots, from the Coliseum, where many gladiators became heroes or lost their lives trying to entertain the bloodthirsty crowds, to a far more peaceful place, the home of one of the world’s smallest countries and religious home of the Pope, the Vatican City.

If you’re looking for a romantic trip, Italy is a superb choice, with the most popular place being Venice. The amazing restaurants and Gondola rides on many of the city’s canals make it the perfect place for any couple looking for a getaway. Italians are known for their great dress, scents, and fashion choices. If this is something that interests you, a Milan shopping trip should definitely be on your list of trips for 2023.
The best time to visit Italy is May through until September. Just missing out on top spot at number two is South Africa. This place is bursting with wildlife and natural beauty, with many game reserves throughout the country. At least a few days spent on a game reserve is a must, with Kruger Park being the biggest and is located in the north of the country. This park is home to Africa’s big five animals.
Cape Town is such a vibrant city with so much going on; you could stay here a month and not see everything. Table Mountain is the landmark featured in most pictures of Cape Town, and for good reason – the views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking. For any traveler seeking an adrenaline rush, they should head out on one of the shark diving boats. Entering a cage off a boat and seeing one of the ocean’s top predators up close certainly gets the blood pumping. Great white sharks are often seen off the coast of South Africa.

Top spot on our list goes to Mexico. In our eyes, Mexico has everything – delicious food, breathtaking nature, beautiful beaches, amazing weather, and incredible history. The Mayans, who ruled the land in Mexico thousands of years ago, left behind impressive pyramids, which within is where they buried their leaders. The biggest pyramid in Mexico is even bigger than the ones in Egypt.
Mexico has incredible coastlines on both the Atlantic and Pacific sides of the country. Mexico is popular with sun seekers looking to enjoy the beaches. While at the beaches in Mexico, the sea offers plenty too, with snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing very popular among tourists. If you’re a fan of hiking and getting to see the great outdoors, Mexico has this box ticked, with many mountain ranges and even active volcanoes that are great for exploring the magical outdoors of this truly amazing country.
