The most expensive book in the world has a price of 153 million euros and only consists of 13 written pages. His author, Tomas Alexander Hartmann, will present his work to the public for the last time at Art Dubai in March 2009. The price is so high because, according to Hartmann, has solved the three most important questions of humanity in less than 300 sentences.
Where do we come from?, where are we going? what is the real mission that is yet to be accomplished? These are some of the questions that Hartmann solves in just 13 pages (supposedly ). For this reason, according to him, such a high price is justified, which has ranked his work as the most expensive in history.
However, the author is tired of the critical comments his book has aroused and has therefore decided not to exhibit it again after the Art Dubai fair to be held in March 2009.
Despite the excessive price, the book has a very simple appearance. Hartmann argues that the price of 153 million euros is based on the value of the contents of the book. However: The book is supposedly a work of art by the German artist – made by a former court supplier of a Duke of Weimar. Furthermore, the copy is written in the buyer’s language.
The text will eventually be translated into 150 languages and, using a special technique, its cover will be made of fine gold. Furthermore, all license rights will be assigned to the purchaser of the ‘gem’.
I think that the Lord does not know that there is another work: The Holy Scriptures, which answer these and other important questions of humanity, and what is better… it is accessible to millions of people, without having to pay a fortune…
Would you pay that much for a book like this…?
