    wow it works I was getting distracted while I was busy with an assignment and my muscles were tensing up from sitting down. Now I can get back on my assignment.

    As a general rule, mental exercises improve performance on that specific task(s) but virtually never result in general cognitive improvement.

    You’ll see claims from companies selling mental exercises that their product “improved memory 0.4” and “reduced accidents 0.3”. As though it improved memory by 40% and reduced accidents by 30%. They conveniently neglect to mention that it’s 0.4 and 0.3 standard deviations, which isn’t even statistically significant. Not percentage improvements.

    The best proven way to improve cognition is aerobic exercise.
